Josephine Almanzar, PsyD
Founder and Clinical Director
Dr. Almanzar describes herself as a "life-long learner" who enjoys helping people tap into their strengths and potential. "Take up space" is a phrase she lean on to empower others to bring all aspects of what makes them human to the surface. Dr. Almanzar views her clients holistically by celebrating cultural differences and recognizing social justice as an integral part of healing. Through compassion, patience, and a touch of humor, Dr. Almanzar hopes to cultivate a space of safety for you to be your most authentic self.
Dr. Almanzar completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Florida, where she earned a Bachelor's in Psychology and Sociology and a minor in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences. She went on to earn her Masters and PsyD in Clinical Psychology at the Florida School of Professional Psychology, with advanced training in college counseling, testing, outreach, and private practice.
Dr. Almanzar is a licensed Clinical Psychologist in Georgia. She is active in her professional community as a member of the Georgia Psychological Foundation, a past board member of the Georgia Psychological Association, and a LEAD Atlanta alumna.
